Overview
Opening a dispensary is several businesses at once: a regulated license, a construction project, a security operation, a retail store and a compliance program, all running on a deadline and with real money at stake. Most owners are doing it for the first time. The mistakes that hurt most are the expensive ones that are hard to undo, such as a site that cannot be approved, a lease that starts rent too early or a menu that ties up cash.
We have spent more than eight years opening and running dispensaries in multiple markets. We bring that experience to adult-use retailers at every stage, from choosing a state to running the store day to day. You can use one service or several; the same operators carry the work from stage to stage.
Typical challenges
Finding a site that works
Buffers, proximity rules, zoning and landlord willingness rule out most of the map, and the sites that remain still need traffic and a workable rent.
Getting through approvals
State and local approvals run on separate calendars, and a missed step can cost months.
Building for inspection
Vault, cameras, access control and storage must match the rules and the approved plans.
Opening with a trained team
Hiring too late leaves no time to train, rehearse or fix procedures before the first customer.
Protecting margin once open
Competition, discounting, labor and shrink squeeze profit faster than most plans expect.
How we work with dispensaries
We start by finding out where the store actually stands: the license status and deadlines, the site, the approvals still needed, the budget and the team. From there we set a plan in the order that saves the most time and money, which is rarely the order owners expect. Site and approvals usually come before design, and hiring starts earlier than most plans allow.
Once a store is open, we manage by the numbers. Every month we look at the same eight figures we track in our own stores, set targets for each and fix what is off. That rhythm is what keeps a store compliant and profitable after the opening excitement fades.

Regular updates and, for ongoing work, a monthly report with targets, red flags and a fix for each one.
Frequently asked questions
Do you only work with new dispensaries?
No. We work with applicants, licensees who are not open yet and stores that have been open for years, including turnarounds.
Can you manage my dispensary day to day?
Yes. Our dispensary operations management service runs the store under a flat-fee agreement where you keep ownership and final decisions, structured to meet your state's rules.
How long does it take to open a dispensary?
It depends on the state, the town and the site. Once a site is secured, plan on four to nine months for design, permits, buildout, hiring and inspection.
Do you guarantee approvals or sales?
No. Regulators and towns make approval decisions, and sales depend on your market. We commit to complete, accurate work and transparent reporting.
What does it cost to work with you?
Every engagement is scoped and quoted after a discovery call, as a flat fee.
Do you sell products to the stores you work with?
No. We do not sell our own products to stores we manage and do not take supplier payments for shelf placement.
Can you help with just one part of opening?
Yes. Many clients bring us in for one piece, such as the site search, the build or the inspection, and handle the rest themselves.
