Overview
This is the core of what Joint Venture Advisors does. We are a dispensary management company made up of operators with more than eight years running successful dispensaries in multiple markets. When we manage your store, the same people, systems, SOPs and reporting that run our own stores run yours: purchasing, staffing, compliance, cash, inventory and the monthly numbers.
Management is structured to keep you in charge. You own the license and make the final decisions; we operate inside a written agreement with a flat, fixed fee and clear approval rights, designed to meet each state's rules on management agreements, true parties of interest and control. Many states require the regulator to review or approve these agreements, and we build that into the timeline.
Who this is for
- Licensees who want an experienced operator without giving up ownership
- Social equity and CAURD licensees who need operating depth and must keep control
- Owners who run another business and cannot be in the store every day
- Investors who want professional management for a store they back
- New stores that want management for the first year, then a handoff
Problems we solve
No operating bench
One general manager carries everything, and a resignation or a sick week puts compliance at risk.
Margin leaking every month
Purchasing, pricing, labor and shrink are managed by feel rather than by numbers.
Compliance by memory
Logs, audits and rule changes are handled when someone remembers, not on a schedule.
Management deals that cost control
Revenue-share management agreements can make the manager a true party of interest and put the license at risk.
What our management includes every month
Each month you receive a report on eight core numbers: customers per day, average ticket, gross margin, labor cost, new customers, delivery share where allowed, shrink and the compliance audit score. Each one has a target and a red flag, and every red flag comes with a fix, an owner and a date.
Behind the report is the same operating rhythm we run in our own stores: daily cash and inventory checks, weekly purchasing and scheduling reviews, monthly unannounced audits and a quarterly business review with you.

Frequently asked questions
What does a dispensary management company do?
It runs the store's operations for the licensee: staffing, purchasing, inventory, compliance, cash and reporting. A good one does this under an agreement that keeps the licensee in control and complies with the state's management agreement rules.
Do I keep control of my license?
Yes. You own the license and make final decisions. Our agreement sets out what we handle day to day and what needs your approval.
How are you paid?
With a flat, fixed fee. We do not take a share of your revenue or profit unless a regulator has approved that structure. The fee is scoped and quoted after a discovery call.
Does the regulator need to approve the agreement?
In several states, yes, or it must be disclosed and reviewed. We prepare the agreement to meet the state's rules and support the filing.
Will you sell us products?
No. We do not sell our own products to the stores we manage, and we do not take payments from suppliers for placing products on your shelves.
Can management be short-term?
Yes. Some clients have us manage the first year after opening, then hand off to a team we have trained.
What results can you promise?
We commit to the work, the systems and transparent reporting. Sales and profit depend on your market and many factors outside anyone's control, so we do not promise specific figures.
What is the difference between a consultant and a management company?
A consultant advises and hands over recommendations. A management company runs the operation day to day and is accountable for results. We do both, and our management work is done by the same operators who run our own stores.
